Bangor - You could say it has been raining cats and dogs this weekend, but at the Bangor Humane Society it was a kitten shower.
It's part of kitten season. That's the time of year when the humane society brings in kittens who need new foster homes.
The shelter encourages people to bring in gifts for the new kittens.
The baby cats must be eight weeks old before they can be adopted, in the meantime the humane society and foster families take the kittens in.
Animal Care Technician at the Bangor Humane Society, Mariah Cassidy, said, "They need pretty much everything that you would if you have your own cat: liter box, littler, food, wet food, treats, blankets, beds, cat beds are always great."
The humane society is always accepting donations.
You can drop item off at their location on 693 Mt. Hope Ave, Bangor.
